Fontaine de la Font d'Eygliers

It was a strategic location that everyone had to visit several times a day! Today it's mainly hikers and mountain bikers who stop here to fill their water bottles and take a selfie in front of a beautiful bed of flowers!
A number of fountains in this district evoke the origin of the name ''Font'' (spring).
But do you know what this little bowl dug into the ground (known here as a ''naïs'') near the fountain was used for? It was used for rolling hemp. Make no mistake, this was industrial hemp and its famous fibre used to weave sheets!
