Les anciens chalets d'estive

The houses behind the church are permanent homes. Higher up you can see he hamlets of Truchet and Mikéou, with their former summer cottages. In the summer months, shepherds take their flocks up to the high-altitude mountain pastures. Back in the day, shepherds, their families and their herds would spend almost 3 months on the mountain pastures, using these cottages as their homes. Today, they are often used as holiday homes!
