Guided tour of the bread oven in Villar d'Arène

Discover the tradition of 'pô boulli' with a visit to Villar d'Arène's communal oven. To set the scene, watch the 1958 film 'Alpine Village'. As you enter the kiln, you'll arrive at the kiln level. The next room is the leavening room, with kneading troughs and shelves for storing loaves and pots. Upstairs is paradise, where the still-warm loaves are stored.
