It nestles in a clearing in the Bois de Saint-Simon and rewards visitors with a beautiful view of the Montagne de Beauregard and the Agnel valley. This small hut can be used by hikers for one night. No booking necessary.
It is only reachable on foot. Either from the Rua de Molines and the Pont des Achins, or under the Serre de Molines via the Pont du Moulin, or via the Chalp de St Véran, or via the Sommet Bucher.
An urn at the entrance is for donations to the association that manages the upkeep of the site.
Nearby is the Saint-Simon chapel and the orientation table at Sommet Bucher.
