St. Matthew's Church

The Neo-Gothic church was built of limestone tuff from the Buffe Valley, with the exception of the foundation and the porch pillars, which are made of gray limestone. This porch, inspired by 16th-century churches in the Southern Alps, leads into a three-nave vaulted structure with a long-pitched roof and a stone spire. Like many churches in the canton renovated in the 19th century, the interior is decorated with murals, and the stained-glass window on the north wall, created in 1863, comes from the Parisian Lusson workshop.
