A graduate of the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon, Flavien Esmieu began his career with the BalletBoyz company in London before joining the CCN Ballet de Lorraine. Now a freelance dancer, he collaborates with numerous choreographers and takes part in artistic projects in France and abroad, including the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the Top 14 Final.

With Fragments, Flavien Esmieu presents an introspective work exploring the body, its abilities, its limits and its expressive power. Through movement, he reflects on the idea of pushing beyond one's limits, bringing together physical strength and imagination.

Tension, momentum, stretching, falls and changing rhythms shape this solo performance, where strength and vulnerability exist side by side. Dance becomes a true language, a dialogue between the performer and the choreographic material, inviting the audience not only to watch but also to feel.

Presented outdoors against the stunning backdrop of the Risoul mountains, this performance offers an opportunity to experience contemporary dance in an accessible and engaging way, brought to life by an artist whose international career shines a light on his home region.
