The APJMA, an association based in Saint Clément-sur-Durance, which works to promote jazz and contemporary music in the Hautes-Alpes, is organizing the second edition of its jazz residency program between Briançon and the town of Mont-Dauphin (05) from September 15 to 22, 2026, in partnership with the town of
Mont-Dauphin and the Centre des monuments nationaux. During this edition, the APJMA will host “The European Jazz Companions,” created and led by Pierre Bertand, a conductor, composer, and arranger. This is a musical mentorship program that brings together, within a single ensemble, five experienced musicians—big band experts, known as the “coaches”—and 15 trainees, all young professionals from European conservatories, the University of Montreal, and the PACA region.
